David Hammons made this as an art piece to specifically reflect the African-American identity of the 1960s (even though the flag itself was made in 1990). It’s currently hanging up in the Museum of Modern Art but the only dilemma is there’s never been a replica for the public to own and I want/need one to hang in my room next to my UNIA flag. It’s one of two Black power flags that I want to own but probably never will (the other being the flag that was hanging in Ice Cube’s dorm in Higher Learning).
